为适应我国西部基础设施建设之需要,本文前瞻性地提出除了要在大学阶段对土木工程专业优秀本科生实施精英教育,还要对动手能力强的学生提供应用型教育,使得他们不仅在高校学懂土木类的理论知识,更要具备很强的设计、施工能力,发展高层次的应用型教育,培养高层次创新人才。旨在各个设有土木工程专业的高校,结合土木工程专业的硬件和软件条件,研究如何以现有条件,实现应用型本科生的培养,为高校土木工程专业更快、更好的发展,提出一些探索性意见。
