摘要
将HVS理论引入到EBCOT的算法中,进一步利用视觉特性中的视觉掩蔽特性,提出一种新的小波域亮度刻画函数,并使用其来修正EBCOT中的失真函数,并以此来改善算法的主观压缩性能,提高压缩图像的视觉质量。实验结果表明,该算法在一定适用范围内可以改善压缩图像的主观视觉质量。
The theory on HVS was introduced into the EBCOT algorithm, which made a further use of the visual characteristics of the visual masking properties. A new brightness-describing function of the wavelet domain was proposed as well as was itself to amend the distortion function in the EBCOT, so as to modify the the subjective compression performance and improve the visual quality of the compressed image.The experimented results expatiated that, in a certain range of application, this algorithm was able to improve the subjective visual quality of the compressed image.
