摘要
过去30年,中国近代史研究由一元走向多元,取得了很大成绩,但也存在系统性缺失的严重缺陷,即便是比较优秀的中国近代通史和断代史著作,也不同程度地存在这样的问题。造成这一现象的原因在于学者在追求对历史个案精深研究的同时,相对忽略了综合性认知对于近代史著作编纂的重要性。另外,对西方现代理论、方法的浅尝辄止,见异思迁,也有以致之。
Over the past thirty years,modern Chinese history has moved from homogeneity to diversity with impressive results.However,there is a lack of systematic method,which is a serious shortcoming.Even the better books on general and periodic modern Chinese history have this problem to a greater or lesser extent.The reason for this is that while scholars pursue deep and detailed research into individual historical questions,they have been comparatively neglectful of the importance of comprehensive understanding to the compilation of modern Chinese history monographs.Another reason is that scholars have satisfied themselves with a superficial knowledge and inconstant application of modern Western theories and methods.
