关于方志科学性问题的再思考

Reflection on Scientificity of Local Records

科学性是新方志的根本追求,这种追求是以新观点、新方法、新材料和新体例为特征的。新方志应该是记述地方历史发展与现实情况的科学著作,而不能只是资料的汇集;应该具有现代科学背景下的思想性,而不能只是前人认识的搬运;应该具有客观性、真实性,但不能片面追求客观而排斥在现代科学方法支持下的主观认识。否则,新方志的科学性和现代性就会落空。

The fundamental objective that new round local records are willing to achieve is scientificity.This kind of search can be characterized by new opinion,new method,new materials and new style.New local records,as scientific works,should note down local historical development and reality instead of being simply the collection of materials.They should contain ideological contents instead of being only the transport of predecessors' knowledge.They should remain objective and truthful instead of seeking one-sided objectivity and refusing subjective understandings with the support of modern scientific approaches.Otherwise,the scientificity and modernity of new local records wouldn't have a solid base.
