摘要
盎格鲁-撒克逊时代流传下了十分优秀的抒情诗歌,开创了英语抒情诗传统。古英语诗人倾诉自己的悲欢离合、自己的思想情感,以令人赞叹的想象力和高超的艺术手法反映了他们对平静美好生活的向往,也表达了命运变化无常、荣华富贵如过眼云烟的思想。同时,由于受基督教观念影响,一些诗人把目光投向上苍,期盼早日回到那失去了的"家园"。在这些诗作里,我们既能深切感受到最深层的人性的流露,也能看到当时存在于盎格鲁-撒克逊社会中的基督教和日耳曼两大传统对诗人们的突出影响。
Anglo-Saxon lyrics started the prominent lyrical tradition in English.With their rich imagination and superb poetic art,Old English poets expressed their joy and sorrow,their feelings and thinking,and conveyed their longing for a harmonious life of peace and love as well as their views of a fleeting life and unpredictable fate.Influenced by Christianity,Old English poets also turned their eyes upward and expressed their longing for returning to the lost 'home.' In these poems,we can strongly feel the expression of humanity and the powerful influences of Christian and Germanic traditions coexisting in the Anglo-Saxon world.
