本文介绍了鲎的种类、分布、生物学特性,古代、现代我国中医药内有关中国鲎的药用、毒性及防治,鲎试剂,鲎素类抗菌肽。比较系统地介绍了各种鲎的药用价值,特别是鲎素抗菌肽,在我国是第一次报道。说明鲎是一种珍贵的海洋药用动物,是有待进一步开发的药用资源。这一资源的进一步开发,将对我国沿海经济、特别是南海沿海经济的发展及我国医药卫生事业的发展,起一定的推动作用。

This article introduces Horseshoe crab' s species,distributions and biological characteristics,as well as,systematically introduces the various medicinal values of all kinds of Horseshoe crabs. In the ancient and modern traditional Chinese medical pharmacopoeias,it is not difficult to find some pharmaceutical applications of Horseshoe crab,such as,its toxici-ty treatment,reagent,and its Tachyplesin antibiotic peptide. This shows that Horseshoe Crab is a kind of precious and valuable marine medicinal animal and medicinal resources that remain to be made further exploitation,which would be made a promotive function to the development of the coastal economy around the south China and China medical and hygienical undertakings.
