On Liang Shi-qiu's translation strategies of The Complete Works of Shakespeare

我国著名的文学翻译家梁实秋先生独立完成的汉译《莎士比亚全集》采用了"中庸"的翻译策略,即以异化为主、归化为辅,体现了"适度"的原则,并非等距离地用"中"。这种译莎策略融合了客观性阐释与主观性阐释的特点,一方面梁实秋以诗学取向翻译,另一方面又注意发挥阐释者的主观能动性,其译文具有学者特色和"学院派"风格。

The famous literary translator Liang Shi-qiu translated independently The Complete Works of Shakespeare by using the strategies of ＂the doctrine of the mean＂.Namely,he took foreignizing as the main focus and domestication as the supplement,which reflected the principle of ＂appropriateness＂ and not ＂the half＂.Such strategies combined the objective and subjective interpretation.On one hand,the translator focused on poetic orientation;on the other hand,he paid more attention to the subjectivity of the translator.Liang Shi-qiu＇s translation shows the scholar＇s feature and the academic style.
