China's exports of chemical fertilizers ceased to decline in the second half of 2009.Between July and October,the country sold 164,000 tons of urea and 88,000 tons of DAP in the overseas markets.From January to October in 2009,China exported 234,000 tons of urea and 166,000 tons of DAP.The prices also rose.In the recent two months,the price of the China-made urea has risen to RMB1,800 a ton.The urea price in the U.S.has climbed to USD310 a ton.As the supply will not catch up with the demand,the price boom may continue into the f irst quarter of 2010.The Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council approved the Tariff Execution Plan 2010.In the light of the new policy,the tariffs of the urea,DAP and MAP will decline from 10% to 7% in slack seasons and remain in high seasons.Chinese chemical fertilizer industry will grow rapidly in 2010.China's chemical fertilizer exports will be spurred by the country's reviving economy,fast-growing agriculture industry and the global market.
