高职基础英语与专业英语的融合教学初探——以国际商务专业英语教学为例

Teaching Methods Investigation for Combination of Higher Vocational EGP and ESP——Take International Business Major as an Example

当前,毕业生难于熟练运用英语这门工具语言来解决专业方面的问题的情况在一定程度上广泛存在,其中重要的原因是我国高职英语教学大多采用基础英语与专业英语教学截然分开的单项教学,以及专业英语的相对滞后。以国际商务专业为例,文章从知识、能力及教学模式等多方面尝试基础英语与专业英语多层次融合的教学方式,以使学生能将专业知识与英语知识有机结合运用。

Currently, higher vocational English teaching usually employs the separated teaching systems of English for General Purpose （EGP） and English for Specific Purpose （ESP） ,which result in that some graduates fail to apply English to working practice. In addition, the problems existing in English teaching for Specific Purpose are also the factors which affect effects of English teaching. Therefore, only when combining capabilities of basic English and ESP, can graduates be qualified in their perspective careers. Based on the English teaching of International Business majors of our college, the multilateral combining modes between basic English teaching and ESP teaching are explored in the paper.
