摘要
在高等教育精英阶段,高等教育质量观是以认识论为其哲学基础的,高等教育以传授高深学问为宗旨和质量标准。在高等教育由精英阶段步入大众化阶段,由于时代的变迁,高等教育由社会边缘走向社会中心,关涉到更多利益相关者;满足各利益相关者的基本价值诉求,成为高等教育质量新的历史使命。高等教育质量观的哲学基础逐渐由认识论向价值论转变。在这一转变过程中,需要在工具理性与价值理性之间寻求合理的高等教育质量价值取向。
When higher education (HE) serves to produce elites, HE quality is conceptualized on the basis of epistemology as its philosophical foundation, the aim and criteria for evaluation of HE being imparting general knowledge to students. When HE develops from the elite phase to the phase of popularization, owing to various changes of the times, it moves from the periphery to the center of the society and concerns the interests of a wider range of stakeholders. Therefore, it becomes a new historic mission of HE to satisfy the value requirements of all stakeholders. The philosophical foundation of HE quality is shifting from epistemology to axiology. In this transitional period, it is necessary to seek a reasonable value orientation for HE quality between instrumental rationality and value rationality.
