To teenagers, the subject of fancy pens may seem quaint; online and cell phone-based correspondence now renders hand-written letters charming, even nostalgic. The grimy task of notetaking might need a simple disposable pen, though ever- shrinking laptops are making even these obsolete. In today＇s office environment, the starring role for pens is now contract and check signings, both of which are considered consequential and ceremonial acts.
