In the history of Japanese literature, there existed a large number of army writers who dedicated themselves to Tenn6. They spoke highly of the Fascist Invading War and tried to fuel to the fire of Japanese national war. The army writers were constituted of those who had been serving in the army for long, some who had been dispatched to the first line of the war by Japanese Cabinet Office and others who had been appointed by newspapers agencies or gone to the first line of their own free will. And these army writers, dominated by militarism and guided by the belief "writing for Tenno, Giving Life for Termo", were extremely willing to commit themselves to the invading war.
