SNS has already become the new favorite of Web2.0, SNS has brought the very tremendous influence to the library service idea and the service pattern. This article introduced the SNS concept and the characteristic, analyzed the necessity of SNS application in the Digital library Portal, has explored the Digital library Portal＇s SNS functional module design, achieved the goal of using the SNS platform to improve the library service and to defend the library image.
