The global financial crisis resulting from US subprime mortgage crisis has a tremendous impact on all countries. Russia is no exception. But how long the impact will last and where is the pusher of economic development in the aftermaths? These are questions of interest to many countries. The article combs through the world economic development trends and features in the aftermaths and makes a comparison between the Russian and world trends of economic development. It comes to a conclusion that there is a paradox between them.
