On the Dramatic Features of "The Raven"

爱伦.坡的《乌鸦》一诗具有明显的戏剧性,其戏剧性主要表现在戏剧场景、戏剧情境、戏剧结构、戏剧张力、戏剧对话、戏剧独白和戏剧冲突等方面。诗人正是运用这些戏剧手法真实地表现了忧伤、痛苦、绝望这些人类永恒的情感,并以此创造忧郁美和确立忧郁美的价值。坡创造美的目的是为了给读者带来欢乐,因为他坚信,"诗之直接目的是欢乐,而非真实"。

＂ The Raven＂ by Allan Poe obviously contains dramatic features. The dramatic features of the poem mainly exist in its dramatic scenery, dramatic situation, drmnatie structure, dramatic tension, dramatic dialogue, dramatic soiiloquy and dramatic co,fillet. It is these dramatic devices used by the poet truthfully reflect the ever-lasting sorrow, sadness and desperation of human emotions and by which he creates the beauty of melancholy and establishes the value of melancholy. His purpose of creating beauty is to amuse readers, since Poe firmly believes that ＂the immediate object of poetry is pleasure,not truth. ＂
