民主是社会主义的本质要求和内在属性。没有人民群众行使当家作主的民主权利,充分发挥他们的积极性和创造性,改革开放的建设事业就不可能很好的进行。今天我们再议民主问题是为了让人们进一步地明确,民主政治是国家和民众心心相印、民族团结、社会安定的重要保障。

Democracy is the essence of socialist inner requirement and attributes. Without people using their democratic rights and taking full advantage of their initiative and creativity,our reform and opening-up construction can not be properly achieved. Today we re-debate the problem of democratic to make people further clear,democracy is the bridge between the state and the people,also an important guarantee of national unity and social stability.
