Promoting the Basic Research level of Agriculture,Ensuring the Food Security in China——Contribution of 973 Program to Food Security of China and the Recommendations for Its Improvement

近年来,国际粮食储备量持续下降而产生了世界粮食危机,我国的粮食安全问题也逐步引起政府和国民的重视。本文分析了我国粮食产量的发展趋势,提出了影响粮食单产的基础科学问题,并从优良品种培育、高产栽培、植物保护和农田土壤方面总结了973计划所取得的成就,进一步提出农业重大基础研究保障粮食安全的发展建议。

In recent years, the decrease of the world food reserve leads to the world - wide food crisis. Chinese government and people pay more attention to the country food security. In this paper, we analyzed the trend of Chinese food production, advanced the basic research problems that influencing the food production level, and summarized the achievement of varieties breeding, high - yield eultivation, plant protection and agricultural soil in the 973 program. Furthermore, we put forward the suggestion for the development of the key basic research in agriculture.
