摘要
本文利用中国28个省市区1987—2007年的面板数据来验证交通基础设施对中国经济增长的影响,同时还检验交通基础设施在中国区域经济差距中所扮演的角色。基于一个巴罗类型的增长模型以及对该模型进行分解,本文的实证结果表明:交通基础设施对中国的经济增长有着显著的正向促进作用;不同的地理位置和交通基础设施条件在我国区域经济发展差距中扮演了重要的角色;1999年国家实施西部大开发战略有利于促进西部地区的经济增长与向中东部地区趋同,其中,西部地区交通基础设施的快速发展发挥了重要作用。
This paper uses panel data of 28 China's provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions from 1987--2007 to test on the impacts on economic growth of transport infrastructure. At the same time, to test on what is the role of transport infrastructure played in China's regional disparity. Based on a Barro-typed growth model and growth decomposition, the empirical conclusion of this paper are following: Transport infrastructure has a significant positive impact on China's economic growth; Different geography and transport infrastructure condition plays important roles in regional disparities; The western development program spurs the economic development of western regions convergent to that of the central and eastern region, of which, the accelerated development of transport infrastructure in western regions played an important role.
