This paper introduces the study progress on the dehydration of magnesium chloride during the last several decades. The most new fruits achieved in the areas of thermodynamics,kinetics and the equilibration of phases are given here. The article also introduces the technological problems faced by the process of dehydration and foretells the futures of the industrial application of this study,meantime.
