On Driving Principles of Variable-Ratio Steering Gears and Their Geometric Calculations.

利用啮合原理的分析方法,给出了变速比转向器中齿条-齿扇传动的啮合线方程、齿扇的齿廓方程,推导出锥形齿扇被切削时小端不根切、大端不变尖的变位系数和齿扇几何尺寸的计算公式。

In terms of the concept of gear engagement, the equations of engaging line between gear rack and gear sector of variable-ratio steering gears and the equations of tooth profile of gear sector are given in this paper. the calculations of modification coefficieht for the sector gear tooth are presented, as a result, when cutting the bevel sector gears with modified profile, the undercut on the small end and sharpening on the big end could be avoided.Meanwhile the formulas for calculating the geometric size of sector gear are provided as well.
