Knowledge Economy is a kind of eeonomy which based on knowledge through the entire world.The key to the knowledge eeonomy is the emphasis on the development of the latest knowledge Nowadays,when the world is entering into the era of knowledge economy,we should determine clearly the direcion of agricultural development in China.That is,under the environment of industrialization and urbanalization,to shift the labor forees from the first industry to the second and third industry step by step and to make full use of the latest material achievements derived from the industrialization ad well as the high techs derived from seience and research in order to increase the agricultural productivity.The agricultural scienee and research in China should occupy a leading position in the world:it is gene engineering.
