The novel ＂A Hunger Artist＂ tells the reader an artist from the being popular to being forgotten,and the cage is where the hunger artist lives.He refuses to communicate with the outside world,only to carry out the hunger performances.His art cannot get the people＇s idenfication,in a state of forgotten existence.But the artist stick to his choice,which is full of absurdity and also determines his tragic destiny.
