摘要
词汇是语言的基本单位,第二语言学习者词汇量的大小很大程度上决定了学习者第二语言的流利性。通过对某民族高校英语专业学生词汇习得情况的调查,发现学生词汇量小,所学的词汇缺乏运用,习得词汇的方法不够科学或者比较单一等问题。针对这些问题,可采用"结合阅读的词汇活动"、"窄式阅读法"等词汇习得策略,以帮助学生扩展词汇量,不断提高英语阅读能力。
Vocabulary is the basic unit of language. The quantity of vocabulary in second language a learner possesses determines his proficiency in it. The paper , through a survey by questionnaire about English Major Students' vocabulary acquisition in a university for nationalities, finds out such problems as students' very limited vocabulary, their lack of application in words, their unscientifical or singular strategies in vocabulary acquisition. Aiming at the problems above, some effective vocabulary acquisition strategies are put forward like "Reading + Word - Focused Activity"," Narrow Reading" to constantly help students enlarge their English vocabulary and improve their ability in reading comprehension as well.
