General research situations of the vulnerability of bridge are introduced.The origin,meanings,classification method as well as analysis method of the vulnerability of bridge are comprehensively discussed.The questions existed in the research of the vulnerability of bridge and work should be developed in the future are presented in order to promote the development of bridge engineering.
