Professor Zhou Yi-liang's Contributions to the Study on Historiography during the Wei-Jin and the Southern and Northern Dynasties

从探讨魏收之史学、崔浩国史案,至20世纪80年代对魏晋南北朝史学发展特点的把握、南北朝史学异同的分析,周一良先生对魏晋南北朝史学的研究经历了由个案式向全面考察的融会贯通历程,体现了他立足史料、实事求是,视野开阔、气度恢宏,条理清晰、论证严密和勇于探索、开拓创新的治学特点;其相关成果多有突破前人之处,反映了他循风气之先的卓越史识,有启迪后学、开辟蹊径之功。

With the course of his academic development from case study to comprehensive study, Professor Zhou Yiliang, a famous Chinese historian, made great contributions to the study on historiography during the Wei-Jin and the Southern and Northern Dynasties, such as his study on Weishou＇s historiography, the study on the death of Cuihao, his correct grasping the developmental characteristics of historiography during the Wei-Jin and the Southern and Northern Dynasties and the analysis of the difference between historiography during Southern Dynasty and historiography during Northern Dynasty. We can sum up Professor Zhou Yiliang＇s academic characteristics as following： he taken strictly the historical data as foundation and taken broad academic views; his academic works was methodical, initiative and original. Professor Zhou Yiliang blazed a trail and provided a lot of inspirations for the afterward researchers.
