The name of Osmunda japonica was discriminated in the paper. Biological characteristics, environmental conditions suitable for growth, nutritional value and economic value of Osmunda japonica were introduced in detail. Whole transplanting and transplanting ramets of asexual reproduction method, spore reproduction of sexual reproduction method were introduced. The harvesting and processing method of Osmunda japonica were introduced.
