摘要
"新诗"宜改称现代"白话诗",它应该与文言诗一起改革与发展,以解除白话诗创作的危机,求得中华诗歌的伟大复兴。它不应该去了音乐的成分,不能提倡"诗的散文美",而要加强音乐性,批评诗的散文化、自由化,讲究诗美,讲究形式美,倡导新格律诗,与散文严格划清界限。为此,它必须首先继承和发扬中国古典诗歌的优良传统,汲取古典诗词、民歌的营养,其次才是吸收、借鉴外国优秀诗歌的某些长处,并做到为我所用。
The "New Chinese Poetry" renamed modern "vernacular poetry", and reformed and developed together with the classical Chinese poetry to relieve the crisis in the creation of vernacular poetry and revive Chinese poetry. It should not be deprived of music; instead, its musicality should be enhanced. We should give up the idea of "poetic prosaic beauty", criticize the tendency of turning new poetry into prose or free verses. We should pursue poetic and formal beauty, call for new metrical poetry and sever new Chinese poetry from prose. So, it must first of all inherit and develop the good traditions of classical Chinese poetry, draw on classical poetry, folk songs for nutrition, and then absorb and borrow the strong points of excellent foreign poetry to our own use.
