《贞陵遗事》、《续贞陵遗事》辑考

Research on Zhenling Yishi(Deeds of Emperor Xuanzong(810-859 A.D.) of Tang Dynasty)and Xuzhenling Yishi(The Sequel to Deeds of Emperor Xuanzong (810-859 A.D.) of Tang Dynasty)

令狐澄编撰的《贞陵遗事》和柳玭编撰的《续贞陵遗事》均记载唐宣宗轶事,是唐代两部具有小说性质的杂史,在《资治通鉴》中曾被采用,具有较高的史料价值,可惜均已亡佚。详考相关文献可知,令狐澄是令狐楚之子,曾为浙江西道观察使、中书舍人。柳玭是柳仲郢之子,曾为吏部侍郎、御史大夫,后贬为泸州刺史,卒于北归途中。二书佚文在《太平广记》、《资治通鉴考异》、《唐语林》等宋代书籍中有所保留,钩稽考订,前者可得佚文17条,后者5条,前书已为全璧,后者亦过三分之一。

Zhenling Yishi [ Deeds of Emperor Xuanzong （810-859 A. D. ） of Tang Dynasty] by Linghu Cheng and Xuzhenling YLshi [ The Sequel to Deeds of Emperor Xuanzong （810-859 A. D. ） of Tang Dynasty） by Liu Pin are two fictional miscellaneous history books and were quoted by SimaGuang in Zizhi Tongjian （ General Mirror for the Aid of Government） for their great historical value. The two books don＇t exist non, and records about the two authors seem very little. Based on related documents, we know that as the son of Linghu Chu, Linghu Cheng had been imperial officials, such as Zhejiangxidao Guanchashi and Zhongshu Sheren. Liu Pin, son of Liu Zhongying, had been assigned to key positions, such as Libu Shilang and Yushi Dafu and later banished as Luzhou Cishi, and died on his north-returning road. In several books of Song Dynasty, Taiping Guangji （ Collections of the Period of Taiping Xingguo of Song Dynasty）, Zizhi Tongjian Kaoyi （Reference of General Mirror for the Aid of Government）, Tangyulin （ Cellections of Tang Dynasty）, we can find 17 quotations from the former book and 5 from the latter. So we have had the intact content of the former and over one third of the latter.
