书名汉译英可识别性关联传递与音意并行法

The Transmission of Recoganizability and the Meaning-Sound Method in Book Titles' Chinese-English Translation

翻译中存在一个中文原书名派生多个英译名的普遍现象,这会引起书名可识别性功能传递的欠缺,并造成书名信息的缺失、原语与目的语间关联线索断裂、中国文化的深度传播与研究在海外受到局限、翻译资源浪费和图书管理不便等问题。因此,在汉译英的书名翻译中不应单纯使用译意法或译音法,而应考虑译音译意并行,以译音为主,译意相补,这既有助于资源的系统化利用,也便于译本更好地与现代图书管理体系结合。

It is very popular that one Chinese original book title be translated into various English versions, which results in many key clues broken between the original and target language book titles, causing the negative influence on Chinese culture＇s overseas in-depth exchange and research, and the waste and inefficient management of translation resources. To deal with these problems, with sufficient examples, the article proposes the feasibility of adopting the meaning-sound method in translation and the necessity of officially standardizing book title translation.
