On the Formation and Cultural Values of 12 Suspected Mass Graves of Qu Yuan's Tomb

根据文献记载和民间传说"屈原墓在汨罗山上",然而汨罗山上有12座大型战国楚墓,因为年代久远,墓碑残蚀,到清初已无法确认那一座封土堆是屈原墓,出于对屈原的崇仰和对古墓的保护,民间便渐渐衍生出疑冢之说。通过考古勘探,证实这些封土堆都是春秋中期至战国晚期楚墓,与罗子国有着十分密切的关系,具有极高的文化价值。

According to literature and folklore, Qu Yuan＇s tomb is in Miluo mountain. However, there are 12 large-scale Warring States Chu Tombs in Miluo mountain. Because of the old ages and loss of the tombstone , till the early Qing Dynasty, we have been unable to confirm which a seal mound is the tomb of Qu Ynan. Out of worship of Qu Yuan and the protection of the tomb, the saying of suspected mass graves appeared.Through archaeological exploration, the article confirm that these mounds were Chu Tombs during the e Spring and Autumn Period to the Warring States , and have a very close relationship with luozi state. These tombs have a very high cultural values
