Nautical chart service is an important guarantee for the safety of maritime navigation.With the development of maritime shipping and increase of marine activities,the importance of the nautical chart and publication cannot be over stressed.The nautical chart and publication service of UK and USA represents the word trend in this regard because of their high efficiency in management.This paper introduces the characteristics of the British and American nautical chart and publication service and puts forward some suggestions to improve our work in this field.
