On Empathy Research in Intercultural Communication from Perspectives of Linguistics and Culture

聚焦移情研究的语言与文化视域,从功能句法学、语用学和语言移情的人际功能各侧面切入,分析移情研究的语言视域,并探讨文化移情产生的层面和步骤、适度性及其与文化敏感性、文化顺应的关系,指出移情研究的语言与文化视域必定有着融合,该融合点即移情的最重要的目的——有效的跨文化交际的达成。

Focusing on the empathy research from the perspectives of linguistics and culture, linguistic empathy research has been carried out in the fields of Functional Syntax, Pragmatics and the interpersonal function of empathy. Cultural empathy research involves its formation, moderate principle, and its relationship with cultural sensitivity and accomodation is explored as well. Then the paper proposes that the fusion of empathy research from the two perspectives is for effective intercultural communication.
