Foreign language study is a very complicated process, during which various factors can affect the results of foreign language study. This article discusses several important individual differences between learners, such as age, intelligence, language aptitude, learning strategy, cognitive style, motivation, attitude, personality and affective factors, etc. The author hopes that it will help the foreign language teachers and learners get to know more about the law of studying foreign languages and explore the most effective ways of teaching and learning for themselves.
