Interpretation of the Theme of Song of Solomon from the View of the Magic Realism

Toni Morrison portraits the traditional Afro-American culture and the existence of the black people through the techniques of magic realism in her novel Song of Solomon. In the novel,the whole narrative frame is established according to Afro-American religions and mythological archetypes. The author also points out the realistic significance of the extraordinary figures. Through description of different attitudes towards racial problems and Afro-American identity,Morrison shows her opinion：to respect other culture and protect Afro-American culture.
