By applying Web Service technology in the monitoring of an air freight terminal, this essay puts forward an integrated heterogeneous database model intended for the monitoring of a logistics freight terminal, explains in detail the structure and technical realization of such a model, and then solves communications issues with Web Service-based hetero- geneous data. It has been proved in practice that this model can realize real-time interaction and sharing among heterogene- ous data fairly well, thereby enhancing both the control efficiency and the level of monitoring of the system.
