In this paper, the new development of chlorine dioxide bleaching technology was reviewed including high temperature chlorine dioxide bleaching, vapor phase chlorine dioxide bleaching, rapid chlorine dioxide bleaching, catalyzed chlorine dioxide bleaching, and chlorine dioxide bleaching in solvent medium.
