Stimulating and Cultivating Reading Interests:A Master Key for Extensive English Reading Teaching

英语泛读作为教学基础课之一,旨在强化学生的阅读技能,培养其独立阅读和广泛阅读的能力,因而在整个大学英语教学中占有重要的地位。但是,缺乏阅读兴趣已经成为了泛读教学的首要障碍。通过分析影响学生阅读兴趣的因素,探讨了如何运用激发和培养阅读兴趣这把金钥匙来提高英语泛读教学质量。

As a basic and important course, English extensive reading aims at strengthening college students＇reading skills and enhancing their ability to read independently and extensively. However, lack of reading interests has become a big obstacle for English extensive reading teaching. Based on the analysis of factors influencing reading interests, approaches of stimulating and cultivating reading interests to improve English extensive reading teaching are discussed.
