Nasser and the Civil War in North Yemen

1962年9月,也门"自由军官组织"发动政变,推翻伊玛目专政统治,而不甘心退出历史舞台的君主派反扑,也门内战爆发。也门内战的发生及进程与埃及有直接的联系。在内战中,埃及积极参与并给予革命党政治及军事上的支持,并派军队保卫新生也门政权。此外,苏联、沙特、美国相继卷入这场战争,小小的也门成为各国及势力集团角逐的场所。文章主要探讨埃及在也门战争中与北也门政府的关系和两者之间的分歧。

＂Free Officers organization＂ of Yemen staged a coup to overthrow the dictatorship of the rule of the Imam In September 1962.But the monarchy government which did not willing to withdraw from the stage of history attacked again,so Yemen civil war broke out.The occurrence and progress of the civil war in Yemen are directly connected with Egypt.In the civil war,Egypt not only actively participated in and gave political and military help,but also sent troops to defend the new regime in Yemen.In addition,the Soviet Union,Saudi Arabia,the United States have involved in the war,Yemen has become a small places where power groups and countries competed in.This paper is about the war in Yemen,Egypt and North Yemen government relations and the differences between the two.
