In the western countries the parties in power pay much attention to the construction of their mainstream ideology.The principal measures include legislation,governmental dominance,ideological education,religion,and various kinds of promotions through different organizations.The characteristics can be summarized as expanding ideological tolerance,enhancing its usability,fuzzing its border of classes and emphasizing its universality.A study as such is of great realistic significance to our construction of the socialist mainstream ideology.
