先秦儒家对情欲问题的思考和处理方式也明显受到春秋战国之交"周文疲弊"、"礼崩乐坏"的现实文化语境的影响,他们处理情欲问题的具体理论和操作办法既沿袭了儒家文化系统内部的历史性与脉络性,又与各自整体的学术理念密切相关,从而呈现出独特而鲜明的问题域和独创性。

The manner in which the sexual passion is observed and treated by Confucians during the Pre-Qin Period was significantly affected by the cultural context of the collapsing of Rites and the disappearing of Elegant Music in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty at the turn of the Spring to Autumn period. Their theories and practice in dealing with lust issues has followed the historical sequence in the Confucian cultural system,while at the same time been connected with their own academic concepts, thus presenting to us a unique and distinct domain and originality.
