Cultivation of Traditional Virtues with Confucianism

自强不息、包容和谐、利群爱国、贵德明礼尚义是中华民族比较有代表性的四种传统美德,这些美德的形成与儒学对中国人精神世界的整理、提升有很大的关系。儒学为塑造中华民族的道德观念和价值准则做出了重要贡献,它在涵育传统美德的过程中发挥了重要作用。

Chinese nation is characterised with such four virtues as self-support ,tolerance for the sake of harmony, love for the country and worship of rites, the formation of which and Confucianism play critical roles in the imporvement of Chinese inner world. Confucianism contributes a lot to the shaping of our morals and values ;it also works on the cultivation of traditional virtues.
