In an individual perspective and with an ethical structure of narration,Bei Feng Na Ge Chui（The Howling North Wind） shows the audience an artistic tension characterized by joy alternating with grief.It is a television account of,and reflection on,the life stories and romances of Zhiqing（educated urban youths）,who lived and worked in the countryside or mountain areas,voluntarily or reluctantly,during the 1960s-1970s.To those with such experiences,it is a reminiscence of their unforgettable early days as participants of the nationwide political movement.
