范晔的进取精神与反潮流精神——读《狱中与诸甥侄书》

背负"谋反"罪名被南朝宋文帝杀害的杰出史学家范晔身上迷雾重重,《宋书》本传对他的形象有所歪曲,清代一批学者为他鸣冤叫屈,但他们都未能真正认识、理解范晔。其实,范晔在《狱中与诸甥侄书》中含蓄、曲折而真实地表达了他的志向与情怀,结合他的另一首《狱中诗》,我们可以深入其内心,探寻他一生的心路历程,认识他进取的一生,富于追求的一生,从而真正理解他的进取精神与反潮流精神。

Fan Ye, a promised historian in the rime of Nan Dynasty （A. D. 557-587）, was killed by the Emporer Song Wen-di for the reason of Fan being a rebel. However the case of Fan death is a wrong verdict. Fan＇s image was distorted in the Book of the Song Dynasty. The scholars in the Qing Dynasty （1644-1911） voiced grievance for Fan Ye. However, those scholars did not know him really. In fact, Fan Ye expressed his aspiration and ambition that implied in his book titled Letters to His Nephews and his poems in jail. We can know his intentioned life experiences and his dynamic spirit and his anti-fide attitude in his another book rifled Poems in Jail.
