“化民成性”与“节民以礼”——兼论董仲舒的师德思想

"Inspiring People" and "Making People Control Personal Desires with Etiquette"——On the Thoughts of Teacher's Professional Ethics of Dong Zhong-shu

董仲舒认为教育的社会目的是"化民成性",教育的功用是"节民以礼"。发展教育要"置明师";教师要"善为师",要"湛思审微""闻博知明";要以身作则,"以仁安人,以义正我"。其师德思想值得我们研究、借鉴。

In Dong Zhong-shu＇s opinion, the social purpose of education is to inspire people, and the function of education is to make people control their personal desires with etiquette. He holds that it needs to recruit spiritual maters to develop education, masters should perform well in education process and reflect on their performance even the least behavior constantly and be wise and knowledgeable. He also asserts that masters should set themselves as examples, be benevolent to others and righteous to themselves. His thoughts on teachers professional ethics deserve to be considered and used for reference.
