On Functions of Family Aesthetics Education in Students’ Development

无论中国还是西方,美育的实践以及关于美育的思想和学说,都可以说古已有之,源远流长。美育本身所具有的感染人、影响人、陶冶人的教育功能也受到历代美学家和教育家的高度重视。那么,在大力倡导素质教育的今天,家庭美育作为美育不可或缺的一部分,在青年学生成长中,尤其是在其身心健康、人格塑造、求知欲望、人生态度、生活习惯、德智体全面发展等方面具有不可替代的功能。

Practices, thoughts and theories of family aesthetic education can be traced far back to ancient times both in China and aboard. The educational functions of aesthetics in infecting, influenncing and edifying people are highly valued by scholars of aesthetics and education. Nowadays, when quality education is being highly advocated, family aesthetics education, which is requisite to aesthetics education, enjoys irreplaceable functions in students＇ development, especially in such aspects as physical and mental health, the shaping of personality, the desire for knowledge, attitudes towards life, living habits and all round development in morality, intelligence and physical education.
