小说运思中符号的作用

On the Role of Symbols in the Conceiving of a Novel

人是符号的"动物",而小说作为一种语言艺术的表现形式同样也离不开符号,可以说,符号是连接小说主体、客体、文本、受体等的重要中枢。符号在小说中的作用首先体现在运思阶段,这个阶段有四个过程,在这四个过程中,符号都起到了重要的、相互联系又各自独立的作用。

The human being is the ＂animal＂ of symbols, as an expression of language arts, novel is also inseparable from symbols. It can be said that the symbol is the important hub connected to the subject, object, text, receptors and other factors of a novel. The role of symbols in a novel is reflected firstly in the conceiving stage. At this stage there are four processes, in which the symbols play an important and independent role. This paper talks about some understandings of the role of symbols in the conceiving process of a novel.
