By analyzing two representative works of Katherine Anne Porter from the Biblical archetypal perspective, the paper argues that the employment and displacements of Biblical archetypes reveal a common religious theme: after "the death of God", the inability of man to love each other results in the spiritual wasteland, while the love among human beings is the only salvation.
