By analyzing two representative works of Katherine Anne Porter from the Biblical archetypal perspective, the paper argues that the employment and displacements of Biblical archetypes reveal a common religious theme： after ＂the death of God＂, the inability of man to love each other results in the spiritual wasteland, while the love among human beings is the only salvation.
