The Formalized Force of Art and Modern Design: The Influence of Modernist Art on Modern Design

美术发展到现代设计产生时期,积累了丰富的形式资源,对于追求"形式追随功能"理念的现代设计和包豪斯教学等,都产生了很大的影响,设计由此从传统走向现代。美术形式的变革又给设计的发展带来形式化的动力,成为设计中的一种生产力形式,进而为人类的生活提供一种远远不同于传统农业社会和手工艺社会的视觉形式力量。

Up to the period of the production of modem design, the development of art has accumulated rich resources of form. Modernist art has exerted a great influence on modem design including Bauhaus＇ modem designs which pursued the theory of ＂Form Adhering to Function＂. From then on, modem design moved toward modernity from tradition. The transformation of artistic form has brought a formalized motivating force to the development of design and changed into a productive form in design, and therefore provided a visual form force for human life, which is different from that in the traditional agricultural and handcraft society.
