摘要
作为一个前卫艺术团体,荷兰风格派通过其独特的新造型主义美学而与设计密切联系。风格派成员希望创造一种适合于他们时代的视觉语言,并强调一种统摄各种艺术门类的"风格"。换言之,他们试图创造一种平面的法则,使之完全适用于空间;发现一种纯艺术的原理,使之彻底体现于应用艺术。为了达到"一切艺术的统一",风格派的美学准则致力于把我们的外在环境与生活改造为艺术,亦即"总体艺术作品"。这对今天的设计教育仍然具有启发意义。
As an avant-garde art group, De Stijl was associated with design by its Neo-plasticism. The effort to create a visual language suitable for the new times and an art style embodied in every field of arts will evoke a planar principle for spatial dimension and a fine art discipline for applied art. According to the aesthetic of De Stijl, the unity of all the arts will, in a word, transform our architecture and interior surroundings into the art, called ‘Gesamtkunstwerk'.
