作为日本阁僚级的保守政治家,田川诚一在中日复交前积极主张对华友好,为两国经济文化交流活动的深入展开尤其是备忘录贸易体制的维系身体力行,对中日关系实现正常化发挥了重要的作用。而田川在对华关系问题上的所有行为的主要精神基础则建立于中国之于日本国家利益的增进具有重大意义这一认识之上,也正是这个基于现实政治需要的对华观,从根本上规定了田川对华认识及其实践的特质。

Seiichi Tagawa is a conservative miusfer of Japan,who did great contributions for Sino-Japan relationship over a long period of time.The reason that he didn＇t change his conservative political position and devoted himself to develop a relation with China during the period of the reestablishment of SinoJapan relationship,had something to do with his certain knowledge and understanding towards Chinese characteristics,which he accumulated in his long-time activities towards China.But the fundamental reason depended on that he argued the priority of Japan＇s marketing enlargement and national security correlated to China.
